The Midland
Combination League
In time for the start of the 1998/99 season a revision of the Football
Association pyramid system, a tier known as The Combination Leagues, is
to be introduced between the Regional Premier and the National Premier
Leagues.
There are to be 4 Combination Leagues, the Northern, Midland, Southeast
and Southwest, each made up of 12 teams.
Together
with the East Midland Regional League the top 6 clubs from the West
Midland Regional Premier Division were invited to form the new league.
Villa Aztecs and Tipton Town declined and 7th placed Rea Valley Rovers
were invited in their stead.
